James Conner Has High Ankle Sprain
6 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner (ankle) looks to be dealing with a high ankle sprain, which would likely keep him out for multiple weeks. Jaylen Samuels and Stevan Ridley will likely split time in the backfield starting in Week 14 against the Raiders. Samuels had a 10-yard touchdown reception shortly after Conner left the Sunday night game against the Steelers, and he'd likely lead this backfield in touches moving forward. He should be one of the most coveted names off the waiver wire this week and will have RB2 upside against a poor Raiders defense this Sunday. Conner's injury couldn't come at a worse time for the both the Steelers and Conner's fantasy owners, with the fantasy playoffs starting in most leagues this weekend.
