Ja'Marr Chase Putting His Drops In The Past
3 years agoCincinnati Bengals rookie wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase had a rough preseason, leading to a lot of speculation that the fifth overall pick would be a bust. He had four drops and just one catch during his action in the preseason. However, he certainly put a lot of concerns to rest in his NFL debut this past weekend. Chase caught five of his seven targets for 101 yards and a touchdown in the team's 27-24 overtime win over the Minnesota Vikings. He led all Bengals receivers in snap counts as he played 90% of the snaps. Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd were tied for second on the team, playing 74% of the snaps. Chase has a great deal of upside even as a rookie and should be considered a strong WR3 play in Week 2 against the Chicago Bears.
