Jamaal Williams Looking Forward To Showcasing Versatility
5 years agoGreen Bay Packers running back Jamaal Williams believes that he will benefit from Matt LaFleur's scheme in 2019. Williams is currently widely considered to be the second back behind Aaron Jones, but Williams believes he can improve on his 2018 numbers. Williams finished the season with 464 yards and three touchdowns, as well as catching 27 passes for 210 yards. While the main thought and press has been that Jones will be the lead back, Williams has shown that he is a reliable running back, and unlike Jones has been more effective in the passing game. Williams was the team's lead back in pass protection and has showcased his ability to catch the ball. While Jones may be given the opportunity in the early season, Williams could be an effective third down option for the team this season.
