Jamaal Williams Inactive in Thursday’s Preseason Game
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers running back Jamaal Williams was inactive for Thursday’s preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Green Bay rested most of their starters in their fourth preseason game. Heading into the season, Williams seems to have a lock on receiving the majority of snaps for the Packers. Running back Ty Montgomery figures to only be used in obvious passing and no huddle situations and Aaron Jones is suspended the first two weeks of the year. He will need to work his way back into the rotation following the suspension. Until then, Williams has very little competition and could be used as something approximating a bell-cow back. He has impressed during the preseason and looks more explosive than he did last year. While it is unclear how long this situation may last, he could be an excellent bargain for fantasy purposes.
