Jamaal Williams Has Chance To Lead Backfield
2 years agoDetroit Lions running back Jamaal Williams could be the lead back against the Green Bay Packers in Week 9 if D'Andre Swift (ankle, shoulder) is inactive. Swift is officially questionable, but his game-day status could go either way. Even if Swift does play, Williams is a solid flex play since he dominates the goal-line touches in a highly effective offense. If Swift does not play, Williams becomes a must-start as the clear workhorse running back. Green Bay is a bottom-12 defense against fantasy running backs, so he should be in for a big day in that case.
