Jalen Hurts Needs To Pick Up Eagles System
5 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said that the team will need to rely on veterans like backup quarterback Nate Sudfeld early in the season because of the restrictions on offseason programs and organized team activities due to COVID-19. "I have a ton of confidence in Nate becoming our backup QB," Pederson said. The head coach also said that rookie quarterback Jalen Hurts needs to "learn and pick up our system." It'll be even tougher for rookies like Hurts to hit the ground running when training camps begin because of offseason restrictions, making it more likely that Sudfeld is the direct backup to Carson Wentz, at least early in the season. Hurts could see some packages as a gadget player early on, but that's about as much as we can hope for right off the bat. He's strictly a dynasty/keeper investment in 2020 fantasy leagues.
