Jalen Brunson Back For Knicks On Friday
1 year agoNew York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson (knee) will return to action in Friday's matchup against Orlando. The first-year All-Star ended up sitting out only one game with a left knee contusion. Brunson's return pushes Miles McBride back to the bench. The 23-year-old has struggled to get meaningful minutes as a member of the second unit and won't have much fantasy value. The Knicks star makes his return in a juicy spot, as the Magic will be without their best backcourt defender Jalen Suggs (thigh), which puts Brunson in a good position to go off for a big night.

Jalen Brunson Officially Back Versus Phoenix
1 day agoNew York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) is officially active for Sunday's matchup with the Suns. He's been sidelined for a month after tweaking his ankle during the March 6 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers. Miles McBride (groin), Cameron Payne (ankle), and most recently, Delon Wright, had been filling in. However, even though Brunson could see limited action in his first game back from the lengthy layoff, he should handle most of the minutes at the one, leaving little room for involvement from anyone else.

Jalen Brunson Out On Saturday, Expected To Play On Sunday
2 days agoNew York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) won't play on Saturday against the Hawks. However, according to Stefan Bondy of the New York Post, he's expected to return from his month-long absence on Sunday versus the Suns. Fortunately, Cameron Payne (ankle) is available and will come off the bench, likely meaning significantly less work for Landry Shamet and Tyler Kolek. Delon Wright, averaging 7.5 points, 5.0 assists, and 1.7 steals in six starts this season, will remain with the first five.

Jalen Brunson Might Return To Action On Saturday
3 days agoNew York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) is questionable heading into Saturday's meeting with the Hawks. The All-Star hasn't played in nearly a month because of a sprained ankle. However, Brunson has been practicing of late, with Stefan Bondy of the New York Post reporting that the former Maverick could return on Sunday versus Phoenix if he's not cleared for action against Atlanta. With that in mind, he'll likely see a reduced workload for at least a few games once he's able to suit up. But if Brunson remains out on Saturday, Cameron Payne (ankle), who is also questionable, or Delon Wright should fill in at the one spot.

Jalen Brunson Cleared For Basketball Activities
1 week agoNew York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson (ankle) stated his recovery is "going well," adding he's been given the green light to participate in basketball activities. The 28-year-old expects to be ready for the postseason, although he hopes to return before the end of the regular season. Brunson has averaged 26.3 points and 7.4 assists throughout the 2024-25 campaign. Unfortunately, he suffered a sprained ankle nearly a month ago in a loss to the Lakers. While he remains on the shelf, Miles McBride (groin) should stay atop the depth chart. Yet, with McBride and Cameron Payne (ankle) both sidelined, Delon Wright could find himself in the starting lineup, with Landry Shamet and Tyler Kolek coming in for relief.
