Jakub Vrana Sits As Healthy Scratch Saturday
14 seconds agoWashington Capitals left wing Jakub Vrana will miss Saturday's game against New Jersey as a healthy scratch. He returns to the press box following a seven-game spell in the team. Vrana's role has been very limited on the team, as he's averaging barely over 10 minutes of ice time for the season, but the 28-year-old has contributed four goals and three assists in 18 outings. Ivan Miroshnichenko will take Vrana's spot in the lineup for his season debut. The 20-year-old gets a big opportunity as a first-liner on Saturday. Miroshnichenko has had a strong start to the campaign in the minors, notching seven goals and 14 points in 16 AHL appearances.
