Jakob Junis Struggles In Spot Start
4 years agoKansas City Royals pitcher Jakob Junis was given a spot start in Game 2 of Friday's doubleheader against the Chicago White Sox. He struggled in the outing, lasting just 1 1/3 innings and allowing four hits and three runs (two earned) while striking out one. Junis started off the year strong and pitched his way into the starting rotation. He then struggled and was moved back to the bullpen, where his struggles continued. Over 11 games and 29.1 innings this year, he has a 5.52 ERA and 1.36 WHIP.
