Jakob Junis Set To Start On Wednesday
4 years agoKansas City Royals pitcher Jakob Junis (back) has been on the Injured List since August 16 after experiencing back spasms prior to a start. However, after undergoing a series of bullpen sessions, he has been deemed fit to return to action and he is slated to start Wednesday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Junis made two starts before going on the Injured List, lasting just over four innings in each. Over those two starts, he posted a 4.00 ERA and a 1.67 WHIP with four strikeouts over nine innings. Junis has shown flashes of success in the past and is worth keeping an eye on for some spot starts in deep leagues and AL-only leagues, but he can remain on waivers in all leagues for now.
