Jakob Junis Dominates White Sox
6 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Jakob Junis was nearly untouchable against Chicago on Monday night as he struck out 10 batters while allowing just one earned run in seven innings of work. The 26-year-old was on fire in his first start since the All-Star break, allowing just five hits and walking one. A solo homer in the sixth inning was his only hiccough, and he out dueled Lucas Giolito from the other side. The strong performance netted Junis his fifth win of the season, and he'll now draw a matchup against the Indians in Cleveland this weekend. He's still not usually a great fantasy candidate, but starts like this will always draw interest. Keep an eye on him for now.
