Jake Woodford Has A Decent Start On Saturday
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Jake Woodford was decent in Saturday's start against the Cincinnati Reds. He tossed five innings, allowing three runs on seven hits with two walks and two strikeouts. Woodford needed 88 pitches (57 strikes) to get through the five innings. He's been an acceptable starter since joining the rotation, and that's good enough for the Cardinals right now, who have been dealing with injuries and ineffectiveness in their starting rotation all year. Woodford will likely continue starting for the Cardinals, but he doesn't really belong on a mixed league roster right now.
