2 years agoDallas Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger recorded his first shutout of the season on Thursday, stopping 27 shots in a 2-0 victory over Washington. He pushed aside seven shots from Alex Ovechkin alone. Oettinger is off to an incredible start to the year, carrying a 5-1-0 record with a 1.17 goals-against average and a .960 save percentage. He joined Kari Lehtonen as the second Stars goalie to reach five wins in six or fewer games in multiple seasons. We should see Oettinger next in a juicy battle against reigning Vezina Trophy winner Igor Shesterkin on Saturday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
