Jake Odorizzi Continues Solid Stretch Of Starts Sunday
6 years agoAfter getting hammered by the Texas Rangers on June 23, Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Jake Odorizzi has really turned it around his last three starts, including a great one on Sunday against the Baltimore Orioles. The right-hander threw six scoreless innings, allowing five hits and striking out five in the process. The Twins offense backed him up too, securing his victory by scoring 10 runs. The performance made it three consecutive starts where Odorizzi has allowed 2 runs or less and has averaged a little over seven strikeouts a game. Next up for the 28-year-old is a matchup with the Tampa Bay Rays on July 13, where he will be a fine option for fantasy players.
