Jake Lamb Expected Back In June
5 years agoArizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said it's "unlikely" that corner infielder Jake Lamb (quadriceps) will be ready to return by the team's next homestand, but he's expected to be back from the injured list before the end of the month. The 28-year-old has been rehabbing in the minors but has been out since April 3. He was also a disappointment last year due to injuries after breaking out in 2017 as an All-Star with 30 home runs and 105 RBI in 149 games. Because of his struggles against southpaws, Lamb is likely to platoon at first base in a best-case scenario with Christian Walker when he returns. That makes him worth considering in deep mixed leagues at the very least for his pop.
