Jake Faria Victorious In First Game Back
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Jake Faria (oblique) played in his first game Wednesday since returning from the disabled list. He would enter in relief and go 3 2/3 innings allowing only one run. Faria would earn the victory in the 7-2 victory. Faria followed starter Tyler Glasnow who lasted three innings. That particular sequence may be rare going forward as the Rays plan to stretch Glasnow out to be a true starting pitcher as opposed to just an "opener". Faria has value in deeper leagues and AL-only formats. Both Faria and Glasnow are interesting young pitchers in deep dynasty formats.
