Jake Bauers Drives In Decisive Run Tuesday Versus Washington
6 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Jake Bauers drove in the only run of the game Tuesday versus the Nationals. With runners on first and third with one out, he hit the ball to the right side of the infield. Bauers would hustle down the line and beat the relay throw to first to prevent a double play, allowing the run to count. Bauers also stole the first base of his young career. His list of career firsts that he has already accomplished is impressive for 19 games and he has a .407 on-base percentage to go along with them. Bauers had five home runs and 10 steals at Triple-A this season, so there is some speed to work with. Bauers was one of the top Rays prospects and is an interesting buy in dynasty leagues. In terms of redraft formats, Bauers is a deep mixed or AL-only type of asset for now but with upside.
