Jacob Nottingham Called Up To Brewers
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers catcher prospect Jacob Nottingham has been called up to the MLB from Triple-A affiliate, Colorado Springs Sky Sox. Nottingham was acquired in the deal that sent slugger Khris Davis to the Athletics, and so far has yet to make his MLB debut as the organization's 17th best prospect. So far this year with Triple-A, the 23-year-old has impressed with a .296 batting average and a .863 OPS. Due to Manny Pina being out for ten days guaranteed on the DL and Jett Bandy already having to fill in while Pina was out, Nottingham will most likely make his MLB debut sometime in the upcoming week. He remains the Brewers future at catcher along with KJ Harrison.
