2 months agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars defense/special teams unit will take on the Miami Dolphins and their high-powered offense in Week 1 on the road. This unit finished 17th in fantasy last season and has the difficult opening task of slowing down Tyreek Hill, Raheem Mostert, and De'Von Achane. Miami actually wasn't awful for fantasy defenses last season due to a decent amount of turnovers and four defensive touchdowns against (tied for second most). The Jaguars could get lucky and score a defensive touchdown, but with only two last year, the odds are slim. With another offseason under the belt of elite offensive mind Mike McDaniel and the plethora of speedy weapons at his disposal, playing the Jaguars D/ST Week 1 is like buying a lottery ticket. It could work out, but it will likely produce a negative result (in this case, negative fantasy points).
