Jackson Jobe Keeps Dominating Double-A
5 months agoDetroit Tigers pitching prospect Jackson Jobe had another terrific start on Thursday, tossing five scoreless innings with eight punchouts for Double-A Erie. Jobe only allowed two hits but did walk three. The 21-year-old is the number one pitching prospect in the majors according to MLB Pipeline, and he has certainly looked the part this year. Jobe has a 1.77 ERA and 0.90 WHIP with 48 strikeouts in 35 ⅔ IP in the minors this year. The Tigers likely won't compete this year, and Jobe appears to be on an innings limit after throwing just 79 ⅔ IP last year, but there is a chance that he gets a call-up in September to get a taste of the big leagues before joining full-time in 2025. It's not the worst idea to stash Jobe in deeper leagues or leagues with NA spots.
