Jackson Holliday Set To Rejoin The Orioles
4 months agoAccording to multiple sources, infield prospect Jackson Holliday is headed to the Baltimore Orioles from Triple-A Norfolk. It's why Holliday was scratched from Tuesday night's lineup with the Tides following the trade of second base prospect Connor Norby to the Miami Marlins in exchange for left-hander Trevor Rogers. Although Baltimore's acquisition of Rogers was seen as a pretty big overpay for a lefty arm with command issues, it also opened up a regular spot at second base at the big-league level for the top prospect in all of baseball. Holliday looked overmatched in his first taste of big-league pitching earlier this year and went 2-for-34 (.059) with 18 strikeouts in 10 games, but he has posted a .908 OPS with 10 homers, 38 RBI and eight steals in 73 games for Norfolk this year and needs to be rostered in all fantasy leagues if he isn't already.
