Jackson Holliday Heats Up With Three Hits
9 months agoBaltimore Orioles infield prospect Jackson Holliday went 3-for-4 with a single, double and a triple in Tuesday's 3-2 Grapefruit League victory against the Philadelphia Phillies. It was a breakout game for the 20-year-old and reminder of why he is arguably the top prospect in the game. Holliday is just two years removed from being selected number one overall by Baltimore and he has done nothing but dominate the minor league system in his time as a professional. The Orioles have an influx of young talent and are looking to build off of last seasons success. Holliday is expected to be a part of that, but Baltimore is unlikely to add him to the 40-man roster until they are certain that he will remain at the big-league level. Holliday is likely to make his debut with Baltimore at some point this season and his biggest competition will be at shortstop with Jorge Mateo. Holliday should already be rostered in dynasty leagues and he is worth snagging in redraft leagues, even if managers have to stash him for a little due to his huge potential across the board.
