Jackson Ferris Tosses Eight Inning Gem
3 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitching prospect Jackson Ferris logged the best start of his season on Thursday evening as he tossed eight no-hit innings. He allowed four free passes and struck out six. This dominant outing was the southpaw's fifth-straight quality start. In this span, the former second-round selection has held a minuscule 0.79 ERA, 0.68 WHIP, and an 11:37 BB:K ratio. Ferris has had trouble finding consistency in the first half of the summer but has clearly taken a step forward in the second half so far. Overall, through 98 frames of High-A ball this season, Ferris sits with a 3.39 ERA and 1.16 WHIP. If he continues to produce at a high rate, he could earn a brief taste of Double-A at the end of the season.
