Jack Flaherty Struggles Again In Tuesday's Loss
1 year agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Jack Flaherty fell to 3-5 in Tuesday's 11-3 loss to the Giants. Flaherty pitched 4 1/3 innings, allowing six runs on 10 hits and three walks with three strikeouts. He also hit a batter. The 27-year-old has been highly inconsistent this season, showcasing strikeout potential but also a serious lack of command. He now owns a 4.64 ERA with a 9.16 K/9 rate and a 5.25 BB/9 rate through 14 starts. His next start should be a favorable one in theory at the Nationals, but fantasy managers should be hesitant to start him until he can show more consistency, particularly in roto leagues.
