Jack Flaherty Puts Up a Quality Start but Takes a Loss
5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Jack Flaherty pitched well enough to earn a quality start on Wednesday, but his offense didn't score him enough runs so he ended up with a loss. Flaherty went six innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and a walk. He struck out seven and lowered his ERA to 3.31 despite dropping to 8-7 with the loss. Flaherty has been one of baseball's best pitchers over the last two months.
