Jack Flaherty Placed On Injured List With Shoulder Strain
3 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals placed starting pitcher Jack Flaherty (shoulder) on the 10-day injured list on Wednesday due to a right shoulder strain. Flaherty was removed from his start on Tuesday with what was described as right shoulder tightness. He underwent tests after the game and Cardinals manager Mike Shildt stated that the imaging results were "mostly negative" (which is a good thing). It doesn't sound like Flaherty has any structural damage, but the development is concerning nonetheless, mostly because he had just returned from a two-month absence caused by an oblique strain. Fantasy managers should stash Flaherty in an IL spot once again, but there's certainly a chance we don't see him again until late this year, if at all.
