2 years agoJack Della Maddalena had a big scare in Saturday's co-main event, squeaking out a split decision against newcomer Bassil Hafez. It was all about the ground game being the Achilles heel for Della Maddalena. The standup game was different, with Della Maddalena landing 83 significant strikes compared to Hafez's 32 significant strikes. Della Maddalena's downfall came in the form of Hafez's 6:48 of control time. Do not worry about Della Maddalena going forward. This is exactly what he needed to make him even more deadly in the Octagon than he already is. Della Maddalena can take this experience and information gathered to fix holes in his game.--Matt Bricker

2 years agoReady to continue his dominance from early in his UFC career, Jack Della Maddalena (14-2) will look to go a perfect 5-0 in the UFC when he faces Bassil Hafez on Saturday. After a Contender Series victory in September of 2021, Maddalena would go on to win all four Octagon visits by first-round finishes. He also averages a very strong 8.27 significant strikes per minute without ever leaving the first round. DraftKings sees Maddalena as the night's biggest favorite with a salary of $9,700. He is averaging 114.3 fantasy points per contest. His salary is a bit steep, but you will get what you pay for in Maddalena.--Matt Bricker
