Jabari Smith Jr. Gets Hot Against Pelicans
1 year agoHouston Rockets forward Jabari Smith Jr. led all scorers in a preseason blowout over the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday. The second-year forward ended the game with 22 points on 9-for-13 shooting overall and 4-for-5 from deep. He also added nine rebounds, two assists, and one steal across 24 minutes. Smith should see an even bigger role this year as he'll likely start alongside an upgraded starting lineup with some more weapons around him. Despite his lower shooting percentages last season, he was still a solid late-round value in redraft leagues. If he can get back to his college efficiency numbers, he'll make a big leap into a mid-round value this year.
