Ja Morant Returns With A 37-Point Effort
2 years agoMemphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant was back in action Monday after missing one game with an illness, and he was on fire in a loss against Utah, shooting 12-for-18 from the field en route to a game-high 37 points. Morant was a busy man at the line with a 12-for-15 effort and made one of his two attempts from deep. His line also included five rebounds and four assists with three turnovers in 31 minutes. With Desmond Bane (ankle) out, Dillon Brooks was expected to step up, but he was pretty underwhelming with his 19-point output, and Morant had to carry the offense on his own. It's been some start to the season for the young superstar, as Morant is averaging 33.3 points per game on 56 percent three-point shooting. He's currently the third-best scorer in the league, and fantasy managers will be pleased to see that Morant will have three more games this week.
