J.T. Realmuto May Stay Put
6 years agoTeams that have called the Miami Marlins recently have come away with the impression that catcher J.T. Realmuto will not be traded. The Marlins have hope that they can start contract extension talks this winter if they hang onto him. Miami is asking for a king's ransom in exchange for Realmuto and rightfully so, as he's one of the best catchers in baseball. Realmuto is hitting .307 with 12 home runs, 45 RBI and 47 runs in 287 at-bats. It's really saying something that he has produced that much on such a bad offensive club.
