J.P. Crawford To Ramp Up Rehab Work
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies shortstop J.P. Crawford (hand) will move to Clearwater, Fla., to continue his rehab from a broken left hand. He started taking ground balls and hitting off a tee last week. Crawford has really struggled in the majors this year, hitting .194 with only two home runs and eight RBI in 34 games. The young shortstop has been out since late June. With Philadelphia contending in the National League East, they could add help to the left side of the infield at the trade deadline, which would make Crawford's path to consistent playing time even tougher. He should only be owned in NL-only and dynasty leagues.
