J.P. Crawford Leaves With Back Spasms
3 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford left Saturday's contest versus the Rays with back spasms after diving into first base in the third inning. He remained in the game for the defensive half of the fourth inning, but was pulled before the fifth on a chilly evening in Seattle. The injury seems to be a minor one on the surface, but expect the club to update his status tonight or before tomorrow's series finale. Crawford is having a superb season by hitting .340 with four homers, 14 runs, and 10 RBI through 28 games, so fingers crossed this injury doesn't linger and effect his swing the rest of the way.
