J.P. Crawford Injures Ankle Tuesday

Seattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford (ankle) turned his left ankle when he was caught in a rundown in the eighth inning on Tuesday night and had to be helped off the field. Crawford had two hits (one double), a run scored, RBI and a walk in four plate appearances before his injury. This injury could very well cause Crawford to land on the injured list, so stay tuned. He's actually hit well since being called up to Seattle, slashing .279/.343/.426 with a homer, seven runs and five RBI in 67 plate appearances. With Dee Gordon on the injured list, the M's might have to run with Tim Beckham and Shed Long up the middle for the foreseeable future, depending on the severity of Crawford's ankle injury.
