J.P. Crawford Expected To Land On Injured List
5 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford (ankle) will undergo X-rays on his ankle and is expected to land on the injured list after turning his ankle on Tuesday night and having to be helped off the field. His fantasy owners are just hoping that Crawford avoided the dreaded high ankle sprain, which usually keeps players out for at least a month. The 24-year-old had a single, double, run scored, RBI and walk in his four plate appearances and is hitting .279/.343/.426 with a homer, seven runs and five RBI in his 67 plate appearances. Seattle will be without their long-term shortstop for some time. Tim Beckham should fill in for him at shortstop, while Shed Long mans the keystone with Dee Gordon also on the shelf.
