J.D. Davis Set To Play Some Outfield
6 years agoThe New York Mets have been prepping third baseman J.D. Davis to play some left field. It's presumably because Todd Frazier (oblique) is coming close to returning from the injured list, and he's expected to share playing time at the hot corner with Davis and Jeff McNeil. Davis has hit .257 (9-for-35) with three homers and five RBI on the season, but he's mostly just an NL-only option, and his playing time might be tougher to come by moving forward. Brandon Nimmo could suffer if Davis gets any starts in left field.
