J.D. Davis Lands On Injured List With Hand Sprain
3 years agoThe New York Mets placed third baseman J.D. Davis (hand) on the 10-day injured list due to a left hand sprain on Sunday. The move is retroactive to September 23. He will technically be eligible to return for the team's season finale, but it seems likely that he is done for the regular season. This is the fourth time his left hand injury has caused a stint on the injured list this season. He's only managed to play in 73 games this year and he's slashed .285/.384/.436 with five home runs, 23 RBI and 18 runs. Jonathan Villar figures to be the team's primary third baseman for the final week of the year.
