J.C. Ramirez Close To A Return?
J.C. Ramirez (elbow), who is recovering from Tommy John surgery, is close to making his season debut with the Angels. Ramirez made his second start for Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday and allowed five hits and three earned runs while striking out three and walking two in six innings for a quality start. Expectations should be tempered for him coming off Tommy John surgery, but Ramirez could be a deep league streamer if all goes well. The 30-year-old right-hander had a 4.15 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 6.4 K/9 in 24 starts (three relief appearances) in 2017 for the Halos. Take a wait-and-see approach in mixed leagues.
