J.A. Happ Has Successful Yankees Debut
6 years agoFinally making his New York Yankees debut Sunday afternoon, J.A. Happ defeated the Kansas City Royals for a successful first start. The 35-year-old went six innings, allowing just one run on three hits. The run came in his final inning of work when the left-hander surrendered a solo home run. While the strength of the opposing team must come into consideration, the performance was a solid one for Happ in his debut with his new club. Brought on to be the No. 5 starter, performances like these will loom large, especially with his next start scheduled to come at Fenway Park against the Red Sox.
