J.A. Happ Allows Two Runs In No Decision
4 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher J.A. Happ failed to factor into the decision in Tuesday's loss to the Red Sox. Happ pitched 4.2 innings, allowing two runs on four hits with three strikeouts compared to one walk. The veteran left-hander had a pretty smooth start up until the fifth inning, as he worked 1-2-3 frames in three of the first four before surrendering a homer and an RBI double, which tied the game. Happ is still building up following his late start to the spring, as he has yet to pitch through the fifth inning in each of his first two outings. He'll look to go deeper into the game in his next outing on April 18 against the Angels. They currently have the sixth-best OPS in the majors, so it might be a matchup to avoid wherever possible.
