Isan Diaz Continues To Make Outs
3 years agoMiami Marlins second baseman Isan Diaz, who inexplicably got a start over Jazz Chisholm on Thursday, went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts. Diaz, who is clearly not used to being on base, was quickly picked off right after he reached base on a single. He "improved" his batting average to .146 and his OPS to .521 with the effort. Despite playing a limited backup role, he's managed a -0.2 fWAR. That'll happen when your wRC+ is 38. Diaz should find his way back in Triple-A the next time the Marlins need to call up a position player.
