Is Tyler Reddick Worth Rostering At Bristol This Week?
9 months agoTyler Reddick will start Sunday's Food City 500 at Bristol from the 23rd position, his worst starting position of the year so far. In five starts at BMS, the 23XI Racing driver has three top-15 finishes with only one inside the Top 5, which he scored in 2020 while driving for Richard Childress Racing. In practice, Reddick did not approach the Top 10 in any categories on speed except for 20,25, and 30-consecutive lap averages, while his overall lap average ranked 26th. Reddick did score two top-10 finishes in the last two races this year, but history does point towards him struggling to move through the field and his equipment showcased in pre-race events does not indicate Reddick will have speed compared to most of the field. While DFS players might consider Reddick based on his potential place differential upside, he only has two finishes with positive PD in his Cup career at BMS. Although Reddick is usable, there are more favorable options in the field around the same salary range or below that look more favorable than Reddick this week.
