Immanuel Quickley Shines As Primary Ball-Handler In Summer League
3 years agoNew York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley shined as the primary ball-handler for the Knicks Summer League with 7.8 assists across five games. The second-year guard played mostly off the ball during his rookie season, averaging 11.4 points, 2.0 assists, 1.8 3PM while shooting over 89% from the free throw line. While the Knicks added Kemba Walker and brought back Derrick Rose, Quickley will have his nights to lead the second-unit, or starters, at the point. Along with improving his shooting percentage from the field, the Kentucky product has the opportunity to provide sneaky value with an uptick in the scarce category of assists.
