9 months agoToronto Maple Leafs goaltender Ilya Samsonov stopped 14-of-15 shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-1 victory against the Blues. The only goal surrendered by the netminder came in the second period when Blues forward Alexei Toropchenko scored at even-strength. Samsonov's 14-save performance was the fewest amount of saves required in a full start this season, while he allowed one goal or less for the fourth time throughout the campaign. Samsonov has shown positive signs since returning to the crease in the second half of January, as he has gone 5-1-0 over his previous six starts.--Denis Vondrus - RotoBaller
