New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin is getting some rest on Thursday when the club takes on the visiting Philadelphia Flyers. The Russian netminder has started four of the last five games but will give way to backup Jonathan Quick, who has been excellent with a 2.56 goals-against average and a .913 save percentage in 26 appearances, actually outplaying Shesterkin on the season. For his part, Shesterkin has posted a 2.65 GAA and a .910 save percentage across 53 starts, going 34-17-2 in that time. The Rangers enter Thursday's action one point ahead of the Dallas Stars for first place in the NHL standings with three games remaining for each team.--Brenton Kemp
