Ichiro Suzuki Could Be On Roster For Japan Series
6 years agoSeattle Mariners general manager Jerry Dipoto said outfielder Ichiro Suzuki will be given a chance to win a spot on the 28-man opening day roster for the series in Japan if he's healthy in spring training. The future Hall of Famer played in just 15 games for the M's this year before transitioning into a front-office role. He had just nine hits in 44 at-bats (.205) with no homers or RBI. It'll be a cool story if he sees some at-bats in his native land, but Suzuki won't be on the fantasy radar for the two-game series.
