Ian Kennedy Throws Simulated Game

Kansas City Royals starting pitcher Ian Kennedy (oblique) threw a 25-pitch simulated game without pain on Thursday. Kennedy has been out since the middle of July but is slowly making progress towards a rehab assignment. The veteran right-hander is just 1-8 on the year with a 5.13 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 8.3 K/9 over 18 starts. There's nothing special about him for fantasy purposes, and he's really only an AL-only target for desperate owners when he returns to the rotation.
