Ian Kennedy Heads Back To DL
6 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Ian Kennedy (oblique) has been placed back on the 10-day disabled list with an oblique injury on Wednesday after leaving his start early on Tuesday. He lasted just three innings against the Twins and had missed just one start after a strained left oblique in late June. Kennedy said the new injury is in a different location than his previous strain. The 33-year-old figures to miss more than just one start this time around, but it at least comes at a good time with the All-Star break next week. He's struggled with a 1-8 record and 5.13 ERA and is a bad streamer, even in AL-only leagues. Right-hander Jason Adams was called up from Triple-A Omaha in a corresponding move.
