5 years agoKansas City Royals closer Ian Kennedy had another ugly appearance on Sunday when he was called upon to finish out a relative blowout. Instead, even though he was spotted a three-run lead, Kennedy proved ineffective. He gave up four singles and a walk to allow three runs to come around and score, tying up the game and sending it into extra innings. After a sensational start to the season that included seven straight scoreless outings, Kennedy has been knocked around pretty regularly in recent outings. Kennedy hasn't had three straight scoreless outings in over a month, and his recent debacles have all been multi-run affairs as well.
