Ian Happ Suffers Bruise Above Eye

Chicago Cubs outfielder Ian Happ (eye) left Thursday’s contest in the top of the fourth inning after being removed with a bruise above his right eye, but his X-rays were negative. Happ left during an at-bat after fouling a ball that hit his eye. The outfielder finished 1-for-2 and was replaced by Cameron Maybin. Happ is having a career best season and it looks like he shouldn’t be out too long.
