7 years agoColorado Rockies outfielder/first baseman Ian Desmond was apparently paying attention to the press this morning. Shortly after an article came out headlining Desmond's terrible spring at the plate, he took the Angels to task. Desmond ignited Colorado's offense in the second inning by blasting a towering home run off Japanese phenom Shohei Ohtani, and the Rockies kept rolling all the way around the order that inning. That led to Desmond once again depositing a ball in the outfield seats. Desmond is still an attractive piece now that he's healthy and getting to play half his games in the most hitter-friendly stadium in the league, and fantasy owners would be wise not to sleep too much on him.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
